19 Days

I bought something for my husband today that I thought I'd never be allowed to buy.  Since we've been married, I've tried to convince my husband to wear sandals.  I know, such a small, inconsequential thing, but still, a girls gotta have some sort of goals to work toward. 

I feel that I need to clarify why my husband refuses to wear sandals.  He is of the mentality that men, real men do not wear sandals.  He has spent his entire life wearing boots and in his mind anything but boots is not appropriate attire, especially for a country boy. 

Yet, because of the upcoming trip and some of the situations in which we will find ourselves, we are required to bring flip-flops that we can use in the public bathrooms at some of the hostels we'll be staying at while traveling.  While I know he won't be wearing the sandals in public, it is still a point in my favor and I definitely see it as a step toward achieving my end goal.  I can't wait to see him in them, and I'll be sure to take a picture of him in them.
