29 Days and Counting

As of today there are only 29 days until departure. What does this mean? Lots of work. I have a list of to do's long enough to keep me busy for far longer than the short 29 days. Today, though, I can say that I've checked off two of the to do's that had been bothering me for a while.

1. Finding an adapter system that will work for the U.K. and for France. I need an adapter for the iPod touch that I'll be taking with me that will be my connection home (Facetime) and my camera for the entire trip. Thank goodness for Apple's World Travel Adapter Kit. It contains six different adapters that will configure your Apple iPod to be able to connect and charge without it being fried.

2. I finally finished putting together a months worth of meals and the recipes that accompany them into a very easy to use guide for my parents who will be helping to take care of my punks while I am gone. I have to say that was an intense project considering that I'm a perfectionist and had to include photos of the dishes and have it spiral bound. (I know, I need help!) I don't think my parents would care if I just gave them a list of potential meals. But, in the process, I also made up an eating schedule and coordinated the dates with the meal recipe in the booklet along with a shopping list to help make it easy for them to know what they will need for preparations.

Next week is my last week of classes until the end of the winter semester. I have a few projects to finish up before I can say I've completed another semester successfully. One week off from all other school related activities until I again start with academic work for the tour requirements. In two short weeks before we leave the states, I have to finish up all my readings, writings, and projects associated with a three credit class. (oye!!!)

I will surely have a better appreciation for all that I am trying to accomplish once we being the traveling portion of the tour, but as of now I have to say that I can comprehend the saying that the process may be hard and trying, but it will be worth it.
