Ferry Crossing on Stena Ship

We left the beautiful city of Dublin, Ireland by ferry tonight. There is a company that does just that and has enormously large ships to complete the tasks of ferrying everything from people to large vehicles. If I were to guess, I would say the ship we crossed the Irish channel on, was as large as a cruise ship. There were multiple floors, some dedicated to those wanting to sleep, others dedicated to those looking for food and entertainment. The last floor I mentioned is the one in which we were told to stay for the entire four and a half hour journey.

We left dock around 8:30 pm and arrived around 12:30 pm. The entire journey on the ferry was an experience that I would not want to repeat anytime soon. There was a continual side-to-side rocking that was frequent enough to prevent a person from walking in a standby line. It was a sight to see the girls from the tour walking like drunken sailors even though they were far from being that.
A good number of girls also became physically effected by the swaying and bucking of the ferry. I was included in that number and shortly found some Dramamine to help with the nausea. I'm glad there was someone on the tour willing to share their dramamine because I don't think I could have survived the crossing without having to run to the bathroom.
Unfortunately, the medicine didn't help with the head dizziness that accompanied the initial nausea. That was a particularly hard travel day that only ended as we ran for our hotel that was a good ten blocks away from the ferry depot. It was 1:30 in the morning before we all became horizontal and attempted to try and get some sleep.
We stayed at a Travelodge hotel that allowed for us to be broken down into pairs for each room versus the six to ten that I'd been with previously. Needless to say, I slept fast and I slept hard.
